Alton Towers Resort reveals plans for a fantabulous feel-good summer to help the nation smile and (ice) scream!

Alton Towers Resort is gearing up to deliver the ultimate feel-good summer for the nation, including giving away hundreds of fantabulous prizes across the Resort, every day until 4th September.

From free ice cream and donuts to fastrack passes, Waterpark tickets and a short break in the Splash Landings Hotel, these not-to-be missed giveaways will be just some of the ways the UK’s biggest theme park is set to ensure the ultimate feel-good summer for friends and families.  

The arrival of three brand new attractions in the UK’s only CBeebies Land is also set to get young fun-seekers in a spin! Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, and Jo Jo & Gran Gran At Home are set for their first summer at the Resort. It comes just weeks after the Resort teamed up with neuroscientists to help identify a breakthrough formula for children to experience the perfect day out over the summer. Using the range of rides and attractions within CBeebies Land and pairing wearable tech with a group of fun-seeking youngsters, the research team discovered the perfect formula for providing children with a ‘magically thrilling’ perfect day which will generate lasting memories involves 17 minutes of thrills, 8 minutes of mental activity, 15 minutes of relaxation and 20 minutes independent play every hour. The findings are now set to feature as a case study in the Neuromarketing Science & Business Association ’s annual yearbook, under the title ‘Perfect formula for a child’s day out’.

CBeebies Land is the perfect place for children to learn, play and inspire their imaginations and includes a large range of rides, indoor and outdoor play areas plus a full programme of live entertainment. Nowhere else can fans of the UK’s most watched children’s channel meet so many of their favourite characters all in one place as some of CBeebies favourite programmes are brought to life!  Home to kids’ TV favourites, the dedicated area is home to a large range of rides, as well as indoor and outdoor attractions, including Furchester Hotel, Go Jetters, In the Night Garden, Octonauts, Postman Pat and Peter Rabbit.  

CBeebies fans will also get to enjoy live entertainment including the brand-new live show in the Land with Bing and Flop in Big Fun Showtime, the living breathing heart of CBeebies Land with a full schedule of events where youngsters can meet and interact with some of CBeebies’ biggest stars! Furthermore, Bingsters will also be able to enjoy the ultimate sleepover in Bing-themed bedrooms coming to CBeebies Land Hotel at the Resort.   

Thrillseekers will also be able to get the feel-good factor as they experience the Resort’s world-class coasters and enjoy the return of the Retro Squad!  New for 2022, SpinJam has joined the line-up of pop-up rides that aims to take guests back to the 80s. Other Retro Squad members include Roller Disco and Funk’n’Fly. The trio of rides will give guests a blast from the past as they spin, bounce, slide, fly down memory lane before experiencing the cutting edge, heart-pounding thrills of The Smiler, Oblivion, Wicker Man and Galactica, as well Rita and TH13TEEN.
