Waterpark Restrictions & Rules
Please note, Alton Towers Theme Park tickets do not include entry to the Alton Towers Waterpark. Buy Waterpark tickets online for the best prices and guaranteed entry. We recommend booking in advance. The outdoor area is closed on selected dates—check Waterpark opening times before visiting.
The Alton Towers Waterpark follows a strict adult-to-child ratio:
- 1 adult (16+) to 1 child (aged 4 or under).
- 1 adult (16+) to 2 children (aged 5-7).
This must be adhered to for health and safety. All members of the party must be swimming to meet the ratio. Children under 8 must have an adult (16+) with them in the water at all times.
Children aged 8-11 do not count in the ratio but must be accompanied inside the Waterpark by an adult (16+). Those aged 12 or over can enter unaccompanied.
For health and safety, please do not visit if unwell or after sickness/diarrhoea within the last 48 hours.

Changing Facilities
We’ve got great individual and family changing facilities. Lockers are available to store your valuables. You will require a 20p piece which will be refunded when you have finished with your locker.
Swimwear
For hygiene purposes, it is compulsory for guests of all ages to wear swimwear at our waterpark. For toddlers, a free swim nappy can be provided from the Waterpark reception.
Buoyancy Aids
For those who are not strong swimmers, there are limited free buoyancy aids available at the poolside. Please be considerate and do not take large inflatable toys or boats into the pool.
Food & Drink
The Calypso Cave is located in the Waterpark. From here guests can purchase a variety of burgers including double cheese burger, chicken burgers and also chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. Or cool off at the Ice Cream Shack with ice cream floats, sundaes, and your choice of toppings. Please don’t bring you on food as it is not permitted in the Waterpark.

To ride the Master Blaster water slide at Alton Towers Waterpark, guests must be at least 1.1m tall. Those between 1.1m and 1.2m must ride on a double ring. Be sure to check all waterpark height restrictions before your visit to ensure a splashtastic experience
Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult (16+) in the water at all times. Children aged 8–11 must have an adult inside the Alton Towers Waterpark, while those 12 and over may enter unaccompanied.
